BEREAVEMENT COACHING

Are you struggling trying to make sense of, and cope with, the death of a loved one?

There is no blue print for grieving; there are no written rules on how to be or feel about it!
Whether your loved one passed from a long term illness, a sudden death, or the natural progression of life, the reality is that most of us are not prepared to cope with this life changing event. We also are not ready to admit that we need help to get us through it!

When you are grieving a loss, your experience is not only internal, but external as well. You go through a deeply personal range of conflicting emotions, often with no appropriate outlet. My bereavement coaching deals directly with the here and now. We explore where are you now, in this moment and what your individual needs are to support you through this new transition in your life.

 

HOW GRIEF COACHING WORKS

I normally support clients from three months up to a year, helping you work through your grief – making sense of it, and often a second year, to create a new life.

Working One – to – One, with families or in groups, I use my own experiences and training to guide you to work through painful feelings of loss, abandonment and a broken heart. Friends and relatives mean well, but are not equipped for long term emotional support; I can be with you for as long as you need me.

 

SUPPORTING YOU INTO THE FUTURE!

As a coach, I empower you to look to the future rather than staying in the past. Allowing you focus on your grief process and dealing with any new responsibilities you may face, such as
care giver, parenting or unexpected financial matters.

Together, we will work through the grieving process one step at a time, and customize a plan of action that will fulfill your unique needs. Through my experience and knowledge, I can support you to move forward with clarity and a positive sense of purpose, and still treasure happy and uplifting memories of your loved one.

 

COACHING FOR THE TERMINALLY ILL

As an End of Life Doula, I also support clients who are terminal ill to resolve pending issues and unresolved disputes, mediate with family members, write personal notes to loved ones, and help plan the funeral.

It is important to remember that letting go does not mean you stop loving, or that you will start forgetting your loved one. It simply gives you the space to release you from the ties that keep you stuck, and provides the shift to love yourself and engage in your life fully.
